(PRESS RELEASE) STOCKHOLM, 29-Oct-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Ericsson and Digital Nasional Berhad (DNB) have won the FutureNet Asia 2024 Award for Best Operations Solution, honoring their AI-driven intent-based operations (IBO) solution within Malaysia’s 5G network. This solution, designed to streamline network management and improve resilience, leverages AI and 5G Advanced technology to create a more agile, secure, and efficient network, setting a benchmark for future-ready connectivity. IBO enables DNB’s 5G network to provide customized services and reliable connectivity through network slicing and tailored Service Level Agreements (SLAs), supporting businesses with digital transformation.

This recognition marks the third major award for the AI-enhanced IBO solution, following accolades from FutureNet World and Glotel. In addition to IBO, DNB and Ericsson’s partnership has driven innovations such as the Reduced Capability (RedCap) solution, which aims to accelerate digital services and support growth across sectors. This collaborative effort also includes Ericsson’s radio access network (RAN) Deep Sleep technology, which recently received the Network Sustainability Award, underscoring energy efficiency improvements in Malaysia’s 5G network.
