Frédéric Wiscart Appointed New President of Alstom France, Succeeding Jean-Baptiste Eyméoud

(IN BRIEF) Alstom has appointed Frédéric Wiscart as the new President of its France Region, effective November 4, 2024. Wiscart, who brings extensive experience from his previous roles in the energy sector, will succeed Jean-Baptiste Eyméoud, who is stepping down after a successful nine-year tenure. Eyméoud will assist during the transition until the end of December 2024. Wiscart’s leadership is expected to continue driving innovation and operational growth for Alstom in France, building on the success of projects such as the TGV-M high-speed trains and contributions to the Paris 2024 Games.

(PRESS RELEASE) HELSINKI, 25-Oct-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — Alstom has announced the appointment of Frédéric Wiscart as the new President of the France Region, effective November 4, 2024. Wiscart will succeed Jean-Baptiste Eyméoud, who has had a distinguished career at Alstom, including nine years as the head of the France region. Eyméoud will continue to support the transition until the end of December 2024 before pursuing other opportunities outside the company.

Frédéric Wiscart, who brings extensive leadership experience from his previous role as CEO of Arabelle Solutions, a subsidiary of EDF Group, will also join the Alstom Leadership Team. His career spans over two decades in the energy and industrial sectors, including senior roles in Alstom Power and GE Steam Power’s Nuclear Business. Wiscart’s proven expertise in managing large-scale projects and customer relationships will be a valuable asset as he takes on this new leadership role at Alstom.

Since 2023, Frédéric has led Arabelle Solutions, a nuclear turbine island business with 3,400 employees across 16 countries, which was acquired from GE by EDF Group in May 2024. He has more than 20 years of experience in the energy industry, in large and complex infrastructure project management and private & public customer relationship management.

He started his career at Arthur Andersen where he worked on numerous large accounts in the energy, public transportation, construction, and governmental sectors. In 2005, he joined Alstom’s corporate strategy team before heading the company’s power plant projects in Algeria and joining its Nuclear Business to develop and lead its integration projects capability. Following the acquisition of Alstom’s energy activities by GE in 2015, Frédéric held several senior global leadership roles, including GE Steam Power’s Nuclear Business.

Frédéric holds engineering degrees from École Polytechnique and École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées, France.
