United Internet AG receives anti-trust authorities approval for its acquisition of all shares in home.pl

Montabaur, Germany, 4-1-2016 — /EuropaWire/ — After receiving approval from the relevant anti-trust authorities, United Internet AG today closed its acquisition of all shares in home.pl via its subsidiary 1&1 Internet SE.

United Internet had reached an agreement with the owners of home.pl S.A. (Stettin, Poland) – led by the private equity fund V4C Eastern Europe – regarding the acquisition of home.pl. With over 300,000 customers and expected annual sales of around EUR 25 million in 2015, home.pl is the clear market leader in the Polish webhosting market.

In total, the closing involved the payment of approx. EUR 155 million (in cash as well as in the form of a redemption of the company’s interest-bearing liabilities) in exchange for 100% of the home.pl shares.
