Skanska signs with District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority to build their new administrative headquarters building in Washington, D.C.

STOCKHOLM, 08-Jul-2016 — /EuropaWire/ — Skanska has signed a contract with the District of Columbia Water and Sewer Authority to construct its new administrative headquarters building in Washington, D.C., USA. The contract is worth USD 60M, about SEK 500M, which will be included in the order bookings for Skanska USA Building in the second quarter 2016.

The new headquarters will be built over an operating pump station. With about 14,000 gross square meters, it will house approximately 350 employees. This building is targeted for LEED Platinum certification.

Skanska will begin construction in 2016. The project is slated for completion in December 2017.
