STOCKHOLM, 01-Jun-2017 — /EuropaWire/ — Skanska invests EUR 46M, about SEK 440M, in the first phase of the Brama Miasta office complex located in Lodz, Poland. The office building will be 15 stories high with a total leasable area of around 27,500 square meters and two levels of underground parking.

The Brama Miasta complex is located next to a new railway station in a CBD location called New City Center and will be developed as a location for business, investors, tourists and the residents of Lodz. The architecture will be carefully designed to meet the needs of disabled people and the office complex will hold a ‘building without barriers’ certificate. The project is also expected to receive LEED Gold certification.

Brama Miasta will comprise two office buildings, with a total leasable area of over 40,000 square meters including a ground floor with retail shops, restaurants and other amenities. Each phase will be an independent building with the possibility of divestment to separate investors.

Construction of the first phase is due to start in May 2017 and is scheduled for completion in the second quarter of 2019.

Brama Miasta is the Skanska’s third office development in Lodz, following the Green Horizon and Nowa Fabryczna projects.
