SGS Indonesia opens new agricultural laboratory in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, Indonesia

Jakarta, Indonesia, 9-7-2014 — /EuropaWire/ — SGS Indonesia is proud to announce the opening of a new agricultural laboratory, located in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, Indonesia.  It is an analyst member of FOSFA (Federation of Oils, Seeds and Fats Association).

After the success of a similar lab in Medan, North Sumatera, SGS has expanded its existing line of services for the palm oil business to serve an increased demand for testing. Indonesia, the world’s largest producer of palm oil, has seen demand for the product for both food and non-food use, increase rapidly over the last 20 years. This new laboratory, in Banjarmasin, is conveniently located 15 minutes from Syamsuddin Noor airport and seven hours from Tarjun. This drastically reduces turnaround times and preserves the quality of samples, due to shortened shipping times.

SGS has state-of-the-art equipment to meet all your testing needs, providing all mandatory and optional FOSFA analyses. On request, we can also test for the following:

  • Pesticides
  • Heavy metals
  • Benzo (A) Pyrene (Baps)
  • Mineral oil (Hydrocarbons), paraffin
  • Cocoa Cut testing
  • And many more

SGS is also a superintendent member of FOSFA and can provide market research services, audit services and certification. Click here to view our FOSFA certificate.
