Tekhnopromexport and Andritz Hydro are going to build a hydropower station in CIS, Asia and Africa 

13-9-2013 — /EuropaWire/ — As part of the Russia and Austria Business Council Tekhnopromexport and Andritz Hydro, the world’s leading manufacturer of equipment for hydropower stations, have made a framework agreement of understanding which will allow Rostec to implement comprehensive international projects.

We presume that in the future such joint projects with Andritz Hydro are possible in Asia and Africa”.

Under the agreement of understanding Tekhnopromexport will be the general contractor in future joint hydropower station construction projects and will direct engineer and construction operations, install and launch equipment. As to Andritz Hydro it will be a designer, manufacturer and supplier of main electromechanical equipment. The Austrian company is also going to supervise during the installation and launch of the equipment, to support with advice and provide maintenance service during the operation of the equipment.

The agreement between Tekhnopromexport and Andritz Hydro will be effective for one year from the date of its signature and may be tacitly prolonged with the consent of the parties. For the cooperation on each of the project the partners will establish task teams consisting of representatives of both the companies. The supply of the equipment and the delivery of services under each project will be governed by separate agreements that will be parts of this agreement.

ANDRITZ HYDRO is the world’s leading manufacturer of electromechanical equipment for hydropower stations. The company’s services include the design, manufacture, supply and supervision over the installation and launch of the equipment as well as the maintenance service of the hydroelectric generators.
