NORMA Group to sponsor Frankfurt School of Finance & Management’s 2016 Manufacturing Management Award

FRANKFURT/MAINTAL, 01-Nov-2016 — /EuropaWire/ — NORMA Group, a global market leader in engineered joining technology, is sponsoring the 2016 Manufacturing Management Award from Frankfurt School of Finance & Management (“Frankfurt School”). The state-approved Business School awards this prize for the three best theses that deal with the manufacturing industry from the Master in Management (MSc) program. NORMA Group is awarding the prize money in the amounts of 1,500, 1,000 and 500 euros to the top three winners.

John Stephenson, COO of NORMA Group, honored the prize-winners at the award ceremony held in Frankfurt on October 28, 2016. “Supporting the experts of the future already today is extremely important to us. Practical research is essential, especially in the industrial environment because it leads to innovation and continuous improvement. Frankfurt School guarantees this approach and combines it with a high quality education,” John Stephenson said.

Marc Sanabras Garrido came in first place. His final thesis dealt with the question of whether a company can improve its performance by harmonizing its strategic sales initiatives. Second place winner Carmen Berger focused on how production strategies can be implemented efficiently. Liesa Stöbich, who finished third, worked on the topic of Industry 4.0 and consequent opportunities for companies.

Together with Frankfurt School, NORMA Group conducts programs on project management and development of managers. NORMA Group has also been supporting the assistant professorship on production management at Frankfurt School since the end of 2015.
