NORMA Group supports students of the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt with scholarship programme

Maintal/Darmstadt, Germany, 11-Feb-2016 — /EuropaWire/ — NORMA Group, a global market leader in engineered joining technology, has been supporting three students of the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt since the winter semester 2015/2016 by offering a Deutschlandstipendium, a scholarship programme for students at German universities. This support will be offered for three years and marks the beginning of cooperation between NORMA Group and the University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt.

The three young professionals are taking courses in the fields of mechanical and electrical engineering. In addition to offering this financial support, NORMA Group will also be including the scholarship recipients in the company. For example, these students will be invited to go on tours of the plant and attend events focusing on innovation. Based on this, the MDAX-listed company will be offering the young graduates internships and opportunities to write theses.

With the Deutschlandstipendium, the Federal Ministry of Education and Research has been supporting students and university entrants whose career paths indicate outstanding achievements in studies and at work since 2011. The federal government and private donors are each providing 300 euros per month for a scholarship recipient. The government projects that two percent of the students at German universities will be participants in the German Scholarship Programme by 2017.
