The winner of the inaugural award, Djabril Boukhenaïssi, will showcase his exhibition “À Ténèbres” at Espace MA, presented by Lee Ufan Arles, from July 1 to September 1, 2024. Focused on the vanishing night, the exhibition features paintings and engravings crafted during the artist’s residency. For its second edition, open to global artists across all artistic genres with no age or qualification restrictions, the jury, chaired by Lee Ufan, comprises members from Lee Ufan Arles and Guerlain, alongside esteemed personalities. Maison Guerlain’s representatives include Gabrielle Saint-Genis, President and CEO, Ann Caroline Prazan, Director of Art, Culture, and Heritage, and Clément Renaudet, Head of Climate and Biodiversity. The winning artist will receive support and a grant from Lee Ufan Arles, alongside a dedicated workspace in Arles for six to eight weeks in early 2025. The inaugural recipient of this esteemed prize was Djabril Boukhenaïssi for his exhibition “À Ténèbres,” set to grace Espace MA by Lee Ufan Arles from July 1 to September 1, 2024. The exhibition delves into the concept of the disappearing night, featuring a collection of paintings and engravings created by Boukhenaïssi during his residency.
