INEOS Oxide increases its global market presence in oxo alcohols, aldehydes & derivatives with acquisition of Arkema’s Oxo alcohol business

ROLLE, 03-Mar-2017 — /EuropaWire/ — INEOS Oxide today announced that, following clearance by the European Commission, it has completed the acquisition of Arkema’s Oxo alcohol business, which included the acquisition of Arkema’s stake in Oxochimie, the Joint Venture at Lavéra between INEOS and Arkema, producing butryaldehyde and oxo alcohols (butanol and 2-ethyl hexanol).

Oxochimie is a Joint Venture between INEOS and Arkema at Lavéra, France and is not part of the INEOS Group Holdings SA group. Oxochimie produced butanols, 2-ethyl hexanol and oxoaldehydes on behalf of its parent companies that Arkema and INEOS marketed independently.
