(PRESS RELEASE) SOLNA, 12-Jun-2024 — /EuropaWire/ — In a strategic move aimed at streamlining operations and enhancing sustainability, global ingredient provider Caldic is consolidating its two Nordic factories and headquarters into a new site in Jägersro, Sweden. AFRY, having already delivered the pre-study and Basic Design, has been entrusted with implementing the production processes for the new facility.

Renowned for its expertise in special and customized ingredients across various sectors, Caldic’s new greenfield factory in Jägersro, Malmö, will serve as a central hub for its Nordic operations. The facility will manufacture a range of dry and liquid products, including aromas, compounds, food colorants, sugar blends, and offer repackaging services for liquid food products.

Sustainability is a key focus throughout the project, with AFRY incorporating both new equipment and repurposed machinery from existing sites into the new plant.

Additionally, the facility is slated to meet the stringent environmental standards set by the Swedish certification ‘Miljöbyggnad,’ aiming for Gold level certification.
