Associated British Ports welcomes Royal Navy Warship; public viewing on March 18

ABP’s Port of Grimsby recently hosted the HMS Severn which was also open to public viewing.

LONDON, 06-Mar-2017 — /EuropaWire/ —  ABP has today announced that it will be welcoming a Royal Naval Warship into the Port of Hull on Saturday 18th March. The warship, whose name is yet to be announced, will open for public viewing between the hours of 10.00 – 15.00 for one day only.

ABP Director Humber Simon Bird said: “As a major partner of Hull 2017, we thought that this even would be quite fitting to show the general public about the culture of Hull and to open up a part of the port estate for people to learn more about what we do as an organisation.”

He continued: “We are also extremely proud to be able to have the opportunity to welcome a Royal Naval Warship onto the port.”

There are limited spaces available for viewing of the warship and members of the public will be asked to choose allocated time slots before attending the event.

Due to the physical restrictions of climbing a gangway on to a Naval vessel, we regret that the event is unsuitable for wheelchairs and young children.
