I wish to speak to travelers of the Dutch trains.

In this moment you are deprived of the pleasure of traveling in a safe, comfortable and reliable way at 250 km/h, as it already takes place in Italy since many years at the speed of 300 km/h.

AnsaldoBreda, that I have the honor to lead, has no responsibility for this inconvenience, as it has finally emerged in recent days.

I want to inform you that the travelers could benefit in the short term from the Fyra trains, even with additional possible changes requested by the customer to face weather conditions particularly harsh, although not being this required by the contract, which at the time we signed with our Dutch customers.

Six months will be adequate to make available an initial fleet of suitably changed V250 trains, provided that we can count on the full cooperation of NS.

We remain sure that the high-speed train Fyra is the only answer to the needs of travelers to move safely and reliably on the Brussels – Amsterdam line, in the perspective of a sustainable mobility.

In Italy, with the Frecciarossa trains, this is already a reality. In the Netherlands and Belgium, with the Fyra trains, we are confident of achieving the same result, with full satisfaction of the users.
