ANDRITZ Successfully Installs Comprehensive Fiber System for Starwood in Turkey

(IN BRIEF) Starwood Orman Urunleri Sanayi A.S., a Turkish industrial company, has successfully implemented a new fiber preparation system from ANDRITZ for the production of fibers for Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) in just five months. The system, which processes a blend of pine and beech wood chips, was installed by ANDRITZ and marks the third system delivered by the company to Starwood. Starwood is a major furniture supplier in Turkey and produces approximately 2,000 m3 of MDF and 3,000 m3 of chipboard per day, specializing in the production of thin MDF ranging from 1.5 to 8 mm.

The comprehensive system, which processes a blend of pine and beech wood chips, was installed by ANDRITZ, from chip washing to pressurized refining. This marks the third system delivered by ANDRITZ to Starwood.
