Accenture provides strategy and technology services as EXPO 2015 Global Systems Integration Partner and enables digital experience for visitors

MILAN, 17-9-2014 — /EuropaWire/ — Visitors to next year’s EXPO Milan 2015 can begin planning their visits now with a free mobile app developed by Accenture (NYSE:ACN). The EXPO Milano 2015 Official App offers information and exclusive content about the EXPO that will take place from May 1st to October 31st, 2015.

The EXPO 2015 app enables users to manage a personal profile where they can schedule their trip, purchase tickets and build a personalized agenda. Containing an interactive site map, Expo visitors will receive real-time alerts based on their location, event calendar selections, and daily news updates. The app will also provide on-site directions for events within the EXPO and will notify users of coupons or special offers that EXPO exhibitors or partners may launch during the event.

The solution is part of the wider strategy and technology services that Accenture is providing as EXPO 2015’s Global Systems Integration Partner.  Accenture has designed and implemented a Service Delivery Platform to enable the seamless integration of all applications developed by EXPO 2015 partners in order to provide an integrated digital user experience. Among other services, the platform supports the e-ticketing system, data registration and management, and real-time revenue sharing management. It also makes it possible for EXPO exhibition partners to create innovative digital services and customized content based on users’ preferences using analytics.

The Expo Milano 2015 Official App has been developed to fit the needs and interests of the expected 20 million visitors and anyone interested in EXPO 2015 and its theme, “Feeding the planet, Energy for life”. The app will evolve to become a true ‘digital assistant’ that all visitors can use to live a highly customized and inclusive experience into the Smart City of EXPO 2015.
